Why i migrated from Blogger to WordPress?

As it is my first post i would like to add something about wordpress. I already got an account in blogger.I recently migrated from blogger to wordpress.There are several reasons that i would like to explain, regarding this action.Blogger is better, but, WordPress is best. You can opt for blogger if you are new to blogging. I was using blogger for several months, i got fedup with its heavey downtime.There are several reasons that made me to migrate to Word press.

First is blogger beta doesn’t provide me with full control over my blog. We got lots of theams and widget that you can efficiently use it in blogger, but to implement your thought in blogger is a bit difficult. For example, i want my blog to act like a web page. Showing only a constant post on my front page. Visitors have to click my recent post or contents to read other post. This is difficult in Blogger. But it is possible in Word press.These are some aspect which makes you think that you have full control your blog.

Next,Blogger has heavy down time. I couldn’t login to my account for several hrs.I got really fedup.I can’t even view my own web blog if the server is down. I can’t post, i can’t do any activity.I found this happening to me several times. This is yet another reason for migrating to Word Press.

There are lots of option that you can use it in wordpress to enhance your blog.They have custom designed themes, a 2 coloumn, 3 coloumn template, blog themes with tabs…etc.To update a template in blogger leaves us mystified. Everything about the coding is perfect. If you try to update a new template, you will end up an message saying that ‘there is an error in coding. Your script doesn’t have a closing braces.. etc.’

You wil lhave full control over your blog in word press that makes me fell good. Labels in blogger is another problem.You have to be careful while choosing your labels in blogger. After publishing you cannot delete it.I didn’t notice until i tried to add labels a tab in my blog.Its a blogger hack provided by Hoctros.blogspot.com. After Editing my template, i would like to add a common labels to similar posts and display it as tabs.Only at that time i found out that i cannot delete my labels in blogger.I was having some 50 or so labels, so think a bit 50 tabs.HELL!!!.

There is another thing that made me feel better about word press is that, even if the server is down you can edit you post and post your new topics.You can download it from www.wordpress.com. This is what i feel very happy about. So there is no need for me to rely on server status. If the server is down or not it doesn’t matter for me.I will be continuing my work.

So these are some of troubles i encountered while using blogger. I read some posts on word press that made me to sign up.Let me give it a try.
