We live in past. The whole world lives in past. There is no present.Actually present is future and there is no future.Shift past to present and present to future….Confusing a bit?? Or Confusing a lot?? Lets analyse.
There is 3 ways they differentiate time, they are present tense ,past tense ,future tense.Present is that is happening now. ‘I am reading’ its a present.Past is something that has happened earlier,or we can say it in other words like “That is dead”. ‘I was reading’ its a past. It’s dead.Can’t happen again.Future is something noone knows,that is going to happen.’I might be reading ‘ its going to happen. This is how they differentiate time.Is Time constant? my next question. Time is not constant. It is varying one. Even in this small world they use different timings.Earth rotates from west to east. If a person is travelling from west to east he is actually travelling at some speed relative to Earth. It won’t cause a large time variation.On the other hand if a person is travelling from east to west, against the rotation of Earth, can u guess what will be time variation? Yes you are right.It is going to be differing by a large amount. We all know Earth revolves and rotates around the Sun at some constant speed. Immagine if Earth starts to rotate much faster. Will the time variation be large?? Guess….What will happen?? If he starts to travel from west to east…. After some time he will be in the same position… Could you imagine?? Similarly, If he goes from east to west… he will reach the destination so fast… If you can understand this,then you will say that time is varying..
If we want to calculate any particular data, we need some constants. We cant calculate with all varying.Lets take one example. To calculate speed we need 2 datas.Time and distance. If we know both these we can calculate speed using the formula, speed =distance/time. This is simple arithmetic.Lets consider both time and distance as a variable factor. can you calculate speed?? time =3xHrs , distance =5yKm. Then you say speed =(3/5)(x/y)Km/hr. So you can calculate. If atleast one must be constant. So to find an excat value we need to compare with something (x). Relative to that time is some y hrs. If suppose you have a can of milk. Someone asks you to measure its quantity. How will you do. You will get one 1 liter can and measure the quantity of milk in that can. So what you are doing. Actually you are measuring with some constants to get the actual data. If you don’t have a 1 liter can you can’t find its quantity. Am i right. So there must be a constant which is referred to all.What is the constant that they use??
Its the Speed of light. That universal constant is speed of light. How to prove that speed of light is constant.Suppose a person is travelling in train which is moving at some 200 miles/hr. Another person who is travelling in other train which is travelling at some 195 miles /hr. Both these train is travelling in the same direction. The train with greater speed is passing the slower train. For the person, Who is inside the slower train, it seems to him that it is just the other train is travelling at some 5 miles/hr. This is the law of relativity illustrated by Einstein.It won’t seem to him that the other train is travelling at 200 miles/hr.Suppose a third person who is watching from a station. It is a terrific speed for him.
There are 3 cases to be noticed.
1.For a person who is standing outside – the speed will be terrific. Even in his dream he can’t jump into that train.
2.For a person who is in slower train- The speed is just 5miles/hr. Even if he thinks he can easliy walk from this train to the faster train.
3.This is same for the person who is travelling in faster train. He can switch train. because it is just 5miles/hr.
The BIG thing is that for all the person, the speed of light will be the same. Even if the train travel at some 10000 miles/hr(this is impossible, but just an immagination), the speed of the light will be same. Thats why am saying that time is constant.So now you all might have understood why we take speed of light as a reference in our discussion.
So now speed of light is the refference for all our discussion.Now Its time to go deep in to our real topic.We live in earth and earth is made to be lively by sun.The sun is the vital part all the living beings living in this earth.If sun dies out then definately it is not possible to survive in this world, no organism will survive.Sun is the source of all. While i am speaking about sun it reminds me of another offtopic “How is sun formed, How it is remaining stable??” lets discuss it in another ttopic.
Now lets take stars and other particles in the universe. All those stars add real beauty to our universe.The stars are found some million light years away from earth. If a person watches aa star that is shrinking, He is not viewing that is happening at present. He is viewing what has already happened in star some years back, may be some million years back. It takes light to travel some million years to reach earth taking the actual picture of a star shrinking. So what is you see at present is not present, its the past.
It is the case of a star.Now lets take that is happening in our earth. Sun emits rays which is actually used up by plants and other organism to grow.Those rays reach earth after 4 and half minutes.It has already emitted rays, we use those rays to survive. This is past its not present. The whole world will change its character if there is going to be a change in suns characteristics, but only after 4 and half minutes late. This is not present. It is past.If sun dies out we will all die but only 4 and half minutes late.
What you see in space is real. But what you see in space has already happened… you are not watching it live. You are viewing that happened some million years back. Everything is past. You live with the help of past happenings. You see past. SO where is present. There is no present. How can ther be present is space.
Where is present?
There is no present in universe. Every planet is lagging in time. Suppose you immagine a person is viewing a star from Earth. He can watch what has already happened. On the other case, if a person is watching earth from that distance star. He will visualize what has happened already in earth. Its vise versa and this suites through out the universe. So how can you say a present in universe. There is no present.
It is for our convenience we classify time as present past and future.There is no present, no future, just past.
