Best Anti-virus software

Anti virus a must for all computers now a days.There are lots of worms, Trojans ,exploit programs wandering over the internet.Today almost everyone has access to internet.Having a best Anti virus software is a vital part for all internet users.At the same time finding one is difficult.I mean a good one.One day i decided to find a best anti virus software.

Criteria it must satisfy:

1. Must consume less memory. (First and foremost criteria)
2. Flexible to install in all Operating System(OS)
3. Clear at least 95% of virus,worms, spy ware, ad ware.
4. Must be fully integrated.( virus scanner, spy ware scanner ,ad ware scanner all in one)
5. Should have an inbuilt internet firewall
6. Should have internet as well as local filter. (to prevent local programs to access internet)
7. Should be easily updatable.

These are the criteria with which i searched a good anti virus software.

Test settings:
I installed a new OS in my pc. I installed Norton Ghost 11.0 and took a back up of my HDD. Installed Testing anti virus.Anti virus softwares taken for consideration:

1. Norton anti virus 2k7.
2. AVG anti virus, Anti spy ware.
3. McAfee Anti virus package.
4. MKS anti virus 2k7.

All anti virus softwares are fully updated before testing.

Then i added some trojans, worms, spyware softwares. Now my system is fully infected with virus. I couldn’t open any folder. couldn’t connect to internet lots more.I infected my system with more than 30 different kinds of virus.

Then i scanned for virus with norton anti virus 2k7.Still my system couldn’t work properly. Cannot connect to internet, some of the folders are not functioning, system is lagging like hell.
Then i used Norton Ghost to revert back to my initial stage. Again my system is ready for testing. Like this i tested for 2 days and finally i was satisfied with one software. It is really great and cleaned almost 97% of viruses, where as others couldn’t cross 90% even. It has inbuilt anti spyware so that it could even eliminate those spy wares. I am really satisfied to get one of the best softwares, that satisfied considerably all my above listed criteria.
